Decluttering & Organizing

  • From the smallest of spaces to your entire home or office, following your consultation, you will be provided with a detailed plan outlining all aspects of the project. Your custom plan will detail every stage along with the estimated time to complete each stage.

  • My services include, but are not limited to:

Space Maintenance

  • Creating a clean and organized space is half the battle. Maintaining your newly cleaned and organized space is an on-going process. It’s not uncommon for our spaces to continue to grow with “stuff” over time. At the conclusion of each project, I provide you with a general plan on how to keep your space free of clutter, clean and organized.

    In addition, I offer an on-going maintenance service. You may want monthly touch-ups. Or, perhaps after a few months, a year – you have found your clean and decluttered space has suddenly become overwhelming once again. I offer flexible plans to help you keep your space in good order.

Donation and Removal of Items 

  • I have an extensive list of charitable organizations. From kitchen cabinets to furniture, shoes to clothing, gadgets to tools, books to office equipment – if in donation condition, I will find a home for it. Donation services include:

    • Finding the appropriate organization to receive your items

    • Organizing the pick-up of your items

    • Bringing your items to the assigned organization

  • I offer removal services for any items deemed not appropriate for donation. From chemicals to used mattresses, clothing, furniture, old prescriptions, I will manage the proper and legal disposal of all items.

The Process

  • After a free telephone or zoom discussion of your needs, if you choose my services for your project, we schedule a day and time for an in-person home or office consultation where:

    • During our consultation we discuss all aspects of your project clearly defining your needs, vision and goals.

  • Should you choose Clarity by Kathleen for your project, you will be provided:

    • A detailed plan to include all stages necessary to complete the project

    • An estimated time to complete each stage

    • An estimate for the cost of the project

    • Recommendations for the maintenance of your space

  • Every project is unique and will require its own set of guidelines. Following the submission and approval of the plan, I arrive at the agreed upon date and time. A typical process will include:

    • Taking inventory of the items within the space

    • Organizing items accordingly into individual categories, typically defined as “keep, donate, discard”

    • Organize the removal of items scheduled for donation

    • Organize the removal of items to be discarded

    • Re-assessing the space with the remaining items

    • Make recommendations (if needed) on incorporating specific organizing features to maintain a clean and tidy space

    • Purchase and receiving of approved items to incorporate into the space

    • Cleaning of the entire space

    • Reintroducing items back in to the space, clearly defining the permanent “home” for each item now living in the space
